Matt’s career as a live action director comes by way of television agency marketing, where his work with studios, brands, and celebrity talent helped push him to become a dynamic visual storyteller. Throughout his career, Matt has earned a reputation for his easy rapport and effective working relationships with A-list talent and also for continually developing creative and alternative concepts to projects.

After years of working for an agency as a live action director on projects with Fox and Warner Bros., actor Hugh Laurie and Writer/Creator David Shore invited Matt to direct and produce the first hour of the series finale of “House M.D.” (Episode 823, “Swan Song”), a mix of original scripted scenes, documentary, animation and music video narrative. Matt continued working with Hugh Laurie thereafter, producing and directing a 1-hour documentary special for ITV (“Perspectives”) as well as a live concert and music videos to support Laurie’s album release “Didn’t it Rain?” (Warner UK).

Unsurprisingly, Matt also has a musician’s touch and has produced dozens of original songs and compositions over the years, including co-writing songs with Michelle Branch, George Clinton, and Soup and Marc7 from Jurassic 5. In 2017, Matt’s will release LUCAS HIGH, a commercial crossover record featuring a roster of legendary MCs including Big Daddy Kane, Talib Kweli, Brand Nubian, Lady of Rage, Brother J, Soup and Marc7 of Jurassic 5 and The Pharcyde. Matt has also recently created an original documentary series called “Motorclub” which will premiere in primetime on NBC Sports Network in October, 2016.
