About Fiction Pictures
THE MIKES
We are a culture of open communication. We hold a standard of excellence. We’re comfortable with chaos, and we have an insatiable passion for presenting quality content and inspiring stories. Fiction is not just about producing content and overseeing projects; we are not simply “get in and get out”. Based in Los Angeles and having worked on projects nationwide as well as internationally, Fiction Pictures takes pride in the way we treat our crew and our clients, the likes of which include: NBC, E! Entertainment, USA, Burger King, Universal Music, Mercedes, Volkswagen and 20th Century Fox.
We strive to collaborate with advertising teams far and wide to create content that is well told, professionally made, and emotionally engaging. From concept to creation—production through post—Fiction Pictures handles all aspects of the production process and we excel at creative problem solving, adaptability and poise under pressure. We specialize in commercials, promotional content, feature films, and documentaries. We seek to create a sense of cultural impact on behalf of the brands we represent. We can confidently tackle even the most complex challenges. What we value above all is creating a positive atmosphere on every single set and fostering a culture of mutual respect with our crews, boldly striving to leave lasting impressions both on and off set and especially through the work we create.
MIKE WILDT OWNER | CREATIVE PRODUCER
Mike works closely with directors and clients on creative and concepts, both in helping flesh out ideas and thinking visually. His experience and skill set is as technical as it is creative: he oversees all aspects of production and post-production and relishes his time on set as much as his work in the office. But if you can’t find him at the office, your next best bet is checking somewhere out in the ocean around Manhattan Beach on his signature short board.
Mike spent four engaging years as a promo producer at the E! Network before leaving to start Fiction Pictures. Recently he traveled to Charleston, SC to produce a documentary about the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church’s response to the violent massacre in their congregation in 2015. If you’re food buff and want to talk LA Cuisine, he’s your go-to guy. Furthermore, if you love authentic Italian pizzas you can visit his backyard where he has built a makeshift wood fire oven. Mike is one of the rare born and bred Los Angeles residents.
MIKE LONGENBACH OWNER | LINE PRODUCER | UPM
Mike oversees the budgets for all Fiction Pictures shoots and prides himself on remaining involved in everything from prep to post. He got his start producing over eight years ago on a music video for the band Atreyu. Since then, he has done everything from producing launch spots for the Steve Harvey Show on NBC to line producing the Indie-feature film “Billy Boy” starring Blake Jenner and Melissa Benoist. Mike has been a proud member of the DGA since 2014. When he’s not at the office he enjoys traveling, hockey* and quality time with his pup ‘Amsterdam’ and future wife Jennie. (* Mike admits that, occasionally, he daydreams about drinking from the Stanley Cup. A boy can dream.) Mike—like Mike—was born and raised in LA and proud of it.
